Two New York Yankees fans were ejected from their right field seats during Game 4 of the World Series after ripping the ball out of Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts’ glove.
In the bottom of the first inning, Betts ran to the right corner of the field to catch a foul ball hit by the Yankees’ Gleyber Torres for the first out of the frame. Betts’ glove landed on top of the outfield wall as he caught the ball, and two fans sitting against the wall reached for the ball. One fan tried to take Betts’ glove off his left hand while the second fan swatted Betts’ right hand away. The first fan pried the ball out of Betts’ glove, but the ball fell onto the field.
