Watford are in advanced talks with Royal Antwerp over the signing of Pierre Dwomoh.
The 20-year-old midfielder is undergoing a medical with the clubs finalising a deal worth in the region of €1million (£850k).
Dwomoh, who has been capped by Belgium at youth level, will sign a long-term contract at the Championship club.
The central midfielder joined Antwerp from fellow Belgian club Genk, where he made two first team appearances, in the summer of 2021.
He joined Portuguese club Braga on loan for the 2022–23 season but was recalled midway through the campaign having failed to make a first team appearance.
Dwomoh joined Oostende on loan in January until the end of the season and spent the 2023-24 campaign at RWD Molenbeek, where he played 33 matches.
The midfielder is set to become Watford’s eighth arrival of the summer transfer window and the third permanent arrival to involve a transfer fee following Kayky Almeida’s arrival from Fluminense and forward Rocco Vata from Celtic.
