Where else to start than with the biggest news of day five?
Just 24 hours after we saw Carlos Alcaraz beaten in straight sets by Botic van de Zandschulp, defending champion Novak Djokovic followed the Spaniard out of the US Open.
He was beaten in four sets (6-4, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4) by Australian Alexei Popyrin and it means he will end the year without a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2017.
He did win Gold at the Paris Olympics earlier this month, at least.
