Tiger Woods will make his 2024 season debut at The Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles next week.
Woods said on social media that he’s “excited to be a playing host” in the tournament, which marks the first full-field event he’s played in since the 2023 Masters. He annually hosts the Genesis to benefit his TGR Foundation.

In November, Woods said he was considering playing one tournament per month in 2024, starting with the Genesis.
“I’m just as curious as all of you are to see what happens,” Woods said at a Hero World Challenge news conference last fall. “I don’t have any of the pain that I had at Augusta or pre-that in my ankle.”
The 15-time majors champion made the cut but then withdrew from the 2023 Masters due to plantar fasciitis and underwent a subsequent ankle surgery in the same month. Woods did not play in the three remaining majors in 2023 and spent most of the year recovering. He made appearances late in the year at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship with his son Charlie in December.
Woods finished 18th out of 20 in the no-cut Hero World Challenge, and he and Charlie finished the PNC Championship tied for fifth.
The Genesis Invitational will be played Feb. 15-18 at The Riviera Country Club.
