Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn will miss a significant amount of time with a hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, coach Frank Reich said Wednesday. Here’s what you need to know:
- Horn left Sunday’s game after suffering a non-contact injury in the second quarter.
- Reich said the third-year player is getting a second opinion. He and the team are still deciding on the course of action but said IR and surgery are both on the table.
- Cornerback CJ Henderson said he expects to start against the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

Backstory
Horn, the No. 8 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, battled injuries throughout his career.
He made it only three games into his rookie season before breaking several bones in his foot while backpedaling on Houston’s artificial turf in a Thursday night game.
His 2022 season ended with a broken wrist in Week 16 after teammate Jeremy Chinn collided with him. He also injured his ankle in June while working out on his own and missed the rest of the OTAs and minicamp.
