Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, league sources confirmed. Love sustained a sprained MCL in the final seconds of a Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and missed the last two contests.
In Love’s place, Malik Willis got the starting nod and was 25-of-34 passing, throwing for 324 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. The 25-year-old added 114 yards rushing yards and an additional touchdown on the ground as the Packers won both games without Love.
Against the Eagles, Love passed for 260 yards and two touchdowns with an interception before getting injured.
Since taking over the starting role last season, Love has gone 9-9 in the regular season, throwing for 4,419 yards, 34 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 247 yards and four touchdowns. In last year’s playoffs, the Utah State product led Green Bay to a 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC wild-card game.
The Packers (2-1) host the undefeated Vikings on Sunday at Lambeau Field at 1 p.m. ET.
