This really doesn’t make good reading for fans of either Manchester United or Southampton.
Had it not been for the dire state of the bottom five, Ruben Amorim would find himself in a genuine relegation battle. Fortunately though, the teams below them are, largely, dreadful.
And victory tonight would take them into the uncharted territory that is 12th place!
As for Southampton, that picture paints a thousand words. The main aim for them now is to avoid breaking Derby County’s record-low points tally of 11 set in 2008.
