Mads Hermansen is an injury doubt for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
The Leicester City goalkeeper had to be replaced at half time of the 4-0 defeat at Newcastle United last weekend and manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy says he will give Hermansen every chance to be fit.
On stand-by are Danny Ward, who replaced Hermansen at Newcastle, and Jakub Stolarcyzk, who has returned from a long-term injury but has played only one Under-21s game.
“We are doing everything we can to make it for the game there’s a possibility that he can so that’s the good news,” Van Nistelrooy said.
“He had to leave the pitch at half time, of course there was an immediate assessment and treatment and rehab that was going on over the whole week so far and we are waiting to see how today and tomorrow is to see if he can play on Sunday, but we have to wait and see.”
Leicester have been boosted by the return from injury of midfielder Harry Winks, but Wilfred Ndidi remains sidelined with a hamstring issue.
“Harry was part of team training this week so he’s available for selection again which is positive news for the squad and Wilfred is in his rehabilitation but not on the pitch so he’s not available for selection,” Van Nistelrooy confirmed.
Leicester are 17th in the Premier League table, two points above the relegation zone.
