Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh will be suspended through the end of the regular season after he, the university and Big Ten resolved their pending litigation Thursday, the school and conference announced. The punishment comes for the school’s in-person scouting and sign-stealing scandal.

Harbaugh, who missed Saturday’s win over Penn State, will not coach in the Wolverines’ final two regular-season games against Maryland and Ohio State.

The Big Ten agreed to close its investigation, while an NCAA inquiry remains ongoing.

“The conference has confirmed that it is not aware of any information suggesting Coach Harbaugh’s involvement in the allegations,” Michigan said in a statement. “The university continues to cooperate fully with the NCAA’s investigation.”
