Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has finally offloaded the last marital home he shared with his ex-wife, reality TV star Kristin Cavallari, and their three children, after the dwelling sat on the market for over a year. While Cutler did not receive his full $11 million asking price, per TMZ, the $7.9 million sale was all cash. Cutler and Cavallari first bought the Franklin, Tennessee, home along with 10 acres of land for $4.2 million back in 2018, later adding a 35-acre sprawl of surrounding property for $1.2 million, all of which Cutler sold in the recent seven-figure deal.
Viewing audiences first encountered seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom house in season one of Very Cavallari, a reality show that followed the couple’s life as Cavallari opened the first store for her jewelry line, Uncommon James. Cutler had to do a bit of convincing in order to get his then-wife on board with the home.

“I’m kinda pissed at you for showing me this house because I actually love it,” Cavallari told Cutler in a 2018 episode after seeing the manse for the first time. “I didn’t think I was gonna love it as much as I do.” The 45-minute drive from her store and the fact that the perfect house came while preparations for launch day were well underway gave Cavallari cause for hesitation, but the Laguna Beach alumna loved the chicken coop and the animal sheds that came with the property. The home became one of the show’s major settings over its three-season run. Cutler received the property as part of the 2020 divorce settlement and continued residing there up until the sale.

Designed in a modern farmhouse style, the 10,697-square-foot house features three levels and expansive front and back porches that span the home’s façade. There is also a large gym, sauna, and a newly built pool house.
During his NFL career, Cutler played mainly with the Chicago Bears but also spent some time with the Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins. Cutler and Cavallari wed in 2013 and divorced in 2020.
