51′ Crystal Palace 1-3 Arsenal
It’s great play from Jean-Philippe Mateta, who turns the ball round the corner to Ismaila Sarr beautifully. Sarr has timed his run from his own half perfectly and scorches down the right.
He crosses it in, in search of Mateta, who is bursting into the box, but with Raya nowhere Saliba puts it behind for a corner.
As Arsenal defend it, Myles Lewis-Skelly nuzzles his head into Mateta’s armpit then throws himself downwards and acts as if he’s injured in an attempt to get Mateta carded for shrugging him off with a gentle movement of his arm.
A bit weak, really. He’s obviously fine. Palace fans sing ‘Same old Arsenal, always cheating’ and Mateta claps his hands along with the chant, conducting the home faithful.
