Atalanta vs Arsenal live updates: Champions League predictions, team news and latest

Mikel Arteta making just two changes from the side that beat Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend should not be a massive surprise.

Last season’s return to the Champions League often saw him make around two-three changes between his starting lineups compared to the five-six changes he made in the Europa League. As Amy has said, the Arsenal manager will not be taking the competition lightly, especially with the new league format.

Declan Rice has not played since England’s 2-0 win over Finland on September 10, so tonight should give him the chance to find rhythm again before travelling to Manchester City on Sunday. Gabriel Jesus replacing Leandro Trossard is somewhat expected too.

The Brazilian played his first minutes since returning from a groin injury against Spurs, and will be looking to improve on a strong record in the Champions League from last season – scoring four goals and three assists in eight appearances (four starts).

A longer look at Raheem Sterling off the bench in the second half would not go amiss, however. Both to see Saka through to the weekend and get a better understanding of what Sterling will offer going forward.
